054748 - PARAMETRIC DESIGN BIM ORIENTED THROUGH: REVIT+ DYNAMO
The course offers a framework of innovative teaching instrumental to architectural design, which requires specific time for in-depth study and subsequent integrations in the student’s course of study. The training offer uses specific tools or different software, considering the student body formed by digital natives, with their own intuitive capabilities. The innovative teaching includes software from the logical structures that can be integrated, of simulative, generative and multi-scale type, contemplating collective places and moments of comparison for the integration of specific potentials and formal structures.

According to the Dublin Descriptors (DdD), passing the exam certifies the acquisition of the following results:
DdD 1 knowledge and understanding
- knowledge from the logical structures of architectural design software.
DdD 2 ability to apply knowledge and understanding
- ability to critically apply the simulation and generative tools.
The program aims to provide to the students tools and critical skills to model in a BIM environment with Revit To do so the maint topics of the program and its collaborative nature will be deepened as follows:
Introduction to the collaborative and coordinated design: BIM
Grid and level generation; absolute and relative dimensions, an introduction.
Parametric 3D objects and plans and views setting
Parametric 3D objects continued
Parametric 3D objects continued and tagging
Tagging, scheduling, view settings
Modelling the environment: terrain by points and by imported instances
Model annotation: dimensioning, settings and editing.
Modeling families chosing the proper template according to the modeling goals.
Dynamo: visual programming for generative design and design management.
Relations with code checking software
Relations with structure software
The whole course will deal with useful architecture to better understand BIM modling.
Modalità di valutazione
The evaluation will be positive only with
80% classroom attendance (max 3 lessons missed, for other attendance included)
Positive result in 2 tests attended in the class, eventually repeated only during the classes
Registration for credit validation on the first date indicated by the professor at the end of the course
