This course collects two cycles of seminars for training to specific phases of PhD research, namely:

- the reaserch background and the state-of-the-art (Milestone-One Training);

- the definition of the doctoral research project (Milestone-Twe Training).  

This course is open only to ABC-PhD Candidates from the 37th Cycle only, or for the ones from previous Cycles upon request of admission.

Credits (CFUs) from this course do not contribute to reach the minimum amount necessary for completing the individual Study Plan, but are necessary to fill the first 5 CFUs out of the 15 CFU of the Milestone Training programme (37th Cycle). 

The course is mandatory for all ABC-PhD Candidates from the 37th Cycle.

The presence to those seminars included in the Milestone Training First Year is mandatory, following one of the teaching modality available (in presence or remotely). Partial absences should be reported and justified with the lecturers of each specific events. Motivate absence to an entire Milestone Training (One or Two) should be communicated and discussed with the Head of ABC-PhD programme.  

Each Milestone Training does not have a specific evaluation, since this will be through the corresponding Milestone.
