Obiettivi dell'insegnamento

The course offers students the possibility of acquiring knowledge and skills in the design of smart spaces for human care. Starting from the current trends in healthcare design, a new interdisciplinary approach is presented for the training activities of modern engineers.

The goal of the course is to acquire knowledge of the most advanced technologies, spaces and infrastructures to manage patient care, including data and data transfer, advanced diagnostic, healthcare and hospital design, therapeutics and rehabilitation in spaces specifically designed to fully exploit them in the different medical areas of the hospital (inpatient room, diagnostic room, intensive care unit, surgical room, rehabilitation room, etc.).

The professors involved in the course have different backgrounds and fields of interest related to biomedical engineering, hospital design, public health and healthcare management, etc. This multidisciplinary approach allows to enrich the knowledge to the student for overcoming the new frontiers in healthcare sector.
