Obiettivi dell'insegnamento
The course “Medical Robotics and Technologies for Computer Aided Surgery Laboratory” provides the students with knowledge on image-guided surgery and medical robotics, starting from basis on robotics (kinematics, motion planning, dynamics, control, human robot interfaces). Laboratory activities are aimed at providing the students with skills and capabilities for designing and implementing the surgical planning and the proper control for executing the robotic assisted surgical intervention.

The project results will be demoed or presented during the exam
Learning skills
Hands-on activities during the practice part of the course will allow testing of learning skills. Tutors will closely supervise.

The course includes the following topics:
1) introduction on spatial transformations/ registration
2) robot kinematics
3) robot dynamics
4) path planning
5) basics of position/ force control and human-robot interaction
Prerequisiti
Geometry, algebra.
Modalità di valutazione
The exam includes 1) the implementation of a project for surgical task executions (during the mid-term week), 2) the presentation/ discussion of a lab project, supervised by one of the lab tutors.
