The course is organised in three topic areas articulated in several seminars investigating following questions:
Digital data as personal capital
How can Personal Data impact on individuals?
What is the interplay between AI and society?
Is Automation the future for society?
What agency modern technology has on humans?
Creativity and digital design
Can we play with technologies?
How is digitalization transforming industries?
Is the digital changing human creativity?
Environmental and social sustainability
Is technology bridging societal gaps?
Is a sustainable information society possible?
How is sharing economy affecting participation?
How remote teaching changes learning and promote inclusion?
How technology affect scientific consensus?
Each seminar will comprehend an expert lecture, a students’ group presentation (flipped classroom) and an open discussion.
Prerequisiti
Modalità di valutazione
Attending students (in person or remotely) will be asked to prepare a presentation on given material in assigned dates, deliver a paper on a topic agreed with the teachers and participate actively in discussion.
The final evaluation will be based on the evaluation of the group presentation aimed to assess the understanding, organizing and presenting of knowledge; the evaluation of the paper aimed to assess the ability to develop new knowledge; the evaluation of the quality of participation in the open discussion aimed to assess critical reasoning on the use of technology.
An oral examination on the whole program is available for non attending students.

This program was developed to be delivered in a blended mode, in compliance with the safety protocols relating to the COVID-19 health emergency, available in July 2020. In the event of changes in the security protocols, the timetable may be subject to changes: in particular in the event of overcoming the health emergency, the lessons may return to attendance.
