Programma dettagliato e risultati di apprendimento attesi

Empower yourself by understanding and applying the incredible impact of language.

SUBJECT AND PROGRAMME OF THE COURSE

Based on the latest results from brain research and psychology, I offer sustainable "aha-experiences” under the motto, "make learning light and fun," we develop effective communication strategies.

Even though academia shares English as a common language, we keep on thinking and talking in the familiar pattern of our own native languages. One and the same word or sentence can be understood differently in the various countries we work with. This quickly leads to costly and time consuming misunderstandings.

It is therefore less important HOW WELL we speak a language technically (vocabulary and grammar), but HOW we speak it, how well we “read between the lines” and how we reach out to international partners and academic audience.

At current the absence of personal contact and the lack of shared experiences, our use of language is more critical and decisive than ever before.

Digital communication works differently.

Discover which words make video conferences more motivating, enjoyable and effective?

In digital teams, how do you:

  • Create the atmosphere of team spirit and support?
  • Minimize misunderstandings and prevent conflict situations?
  • Make agreements more efficient and binding to create joint experiences of success?

The webinar will allow to gain surprising insights and a new understanding of international communication. The teaching is highly interactive with playful transfers of the learning contents. The teacher will initiate group work (breakout sessions) and interaction within the students to make them experience the power and impact of their new communication strategies.

Students to be enrolled should speak intermediate to good English.
