The course aims to illustrate, through the Case History, project development at different levels, dividing it into four thematic sections that are linked. An all-Italian skill able to deal with the complexity of the project, where the designer develops his way of action from the study and structure of territory (Master Plan) to the design of the architectural parts included in it, and then continue with the interior design and Product Design elements, technological ones and furnishing.
This course is proposed by the School as an optional teaching group with innovative education characteristics that support students as they acquire and strengthen their transversal skills.

Students:
- know and understand the instruments and methods for managing project complexity;
- can apply the instruments learnt during the whole design phase, defining an intervention plan;
- make design choices autonomously and in a group;
- can analyse the intervention context, strengthening their critical and analysis skills.

Designing the Complexity

The course finality  is to give at the students the tools necessary for project environments and designing furnishing objects, making materials selection, studying lights and colors and give them the basic elements of aesthetic commercial spaces needs.
The course will help to understand the strategies that the brads develop to grow in the market.

The theme of the project will be the creation of a Concept of a Hotel and the design of some of its significant spaces, such as the camera of the Hotel. The final objective will be to highlight the hotel experience, investigating new aesthetic solutions in addition to the techniques, trends and communication that influence the world of hospitality spaces, also integrating increasingly sophisticated technical aspects.

Il Corso ha come obiettivo quello di far comprendere agli studenti gli strumenti necessari per progettare ambienti e ideare oggetti di arredo, scegliere i materiali, studiare le luci e colori, atti ad assolvere alle esigenze estetico\funzionali degli spazi alberghieri. Il tema di progetto sarà la realizzazione di un Concept di un Hotel e la progettazione di alcuni suoi spazi significativi, come ad esempio la camera. L’obbiettivo finale sarà quello di evidenziare l'esperienza d'acquisto, indagando le nuove soluzioni estetiche oltre che tecniche, i trends e la comunicazione che influenzano il mondo degli spazi alberghieri integrando gli aspetti tecnici sempre più sofisticati.

There are no pre-requisites for attendance.

Students will make a final thesis document including a research part and a project part.
