Argomenti trattati

The Thesis Incubator Design Studio – TIS_Polimi – is an experimental Master's degree laboratory that will begin an innovative phase, linking graduates of the MSc in Interior and Spatial Design - School of Design to the most experimental external orgnizations and companies, which wish to launch Design driven actions.

The Strategic research-design actions  will allow students to apply their learnings while working with such organizations and companies and ultimately access privileged internships with these last.

The Thesis Incubator Design Studio proposal is aligned with what the School of Design is developing within the Polimi Design System, both in terms of applied research and innovative didactic that the School of Design is pursuing also by promoting actions shared between the world of education and that of work.

The Thesis Incubator Design Studio is annual and includes the compulsory internship that will be coordinated between the Politecnico and the Companies. Each external entity will work with 3-6 students coordinated by a Design Studio professor who, in collaboration with a manager of the Company, will follow the action research.

The final individual research and project Thesis must be experimental and innovative, as well as factual and transferable to real business cases.

As part of the Design Studio, several experts and external speakers – from the most diverse sectors of the world of culture and work – will be invited to hold lectures.

PARTNERSHIPS

The Thesis projects will be expressed in different fields and scales of intervention within the Interior and Spatial Design activities

with varoious Partner Organizations and Companies.
