Obiettivi dell'insegnamento
The aim of the course is to help students to organize an autonomous technical work (in particular with reference to the final thesis) and to provide the essentials for an effective written and oral communication of technical and scientific contents.
Risultati di apprendimento attesi
After attending the course, developing the assignments, taking part to all in-class individual and group activities, the student will:
know some of the principal available scientific database and understand the potentialities of the selective search;
be able to build the bibliography of its master thesis;
know the current tools to visualize, write and present technical results;
be able to apply the above knowledge to the specific subject (for instance the one of the master thesis);
know how to deliver technical and scientific presentations in a clear and effective way;
be able to write its curriculum.
These learning outcomes are expected to provide the student basic knowledge tools necessary for performing future technical and scientific activities.

Modalità di valutazione
During the course, several mandatory assignments will be given to the students. The results will be presented by small groups of students and critically analyzed and discussed together during lesson time.
To have credits for this course, the correct performance of the assignments and the attendance are mandatory.
There is no specific final test or grade for this course: the achievement of the expected learning outcomes will be evaluated during the final discussion of the master thesis and will influence the final grade of the MS diploma.
