The course aims to provide the theoretical and methodological principles of real estate appraisal and project evaluation in private and public context. The course focuses on advanced methods for real estate assets valuation, more specifically the topics addressed are: principles of financial mathematics, principles and methodology of real estate appraisal, Life Cycle Cost Analysis, introduction Discount Cash Flow analysis, Cost-Benefit Analysis, Multicriteria analysis in multistakeholder context.

The teaching method is based on theoretical lectures, discussion of case studies and hands on exercises

The expected learning outcomes include:

-Understanding advantages and limitation of main project evaluation techniques;

-Understanding the key principles of Cost -Benefit analysis

- Gaining first-hand experience by appling Cost -Benefit analysis to a design studio
