Through the narration of selected practices, the course aims at providing insights coming from different disciplines, with a focus on visual cultures and experimentation, from a phenomenological perspective. The study of the production of artists and established designers will be contextualized in the present times , emphasizing how contamination plays a vital role in adopting strategies to find new answers to old end ever-evolving needs.

Among the aspects taken into consideration, we will consider the production processes and the life cycle of a product from conception its realization, without omitting to mention the event of a failure and the possibility of recalibration. The processual dimension of the project will be treated according to paths that interlace planning, research, art and culture, with the purpose to develop a critical sense and projecting tools. The narration will include a survey on the contemporary design scene, its sources and the distribution tools, festivals, museums, biennials and the outcomes of Schools that have proved capable of channeling today's trends becoming a point of reference.

Lectures will alternate with moments of individual and group research and the presentation in the classroom of projects conducted individually or in groups. Some guests will be invited to make a contribution by narrating their experience. Because of the dialogical nature of the course, a regular attendance is recommended.
