Note Sulla Modalità di valutazione

The exam is a oral discussion on the topic expalined during the course and also on the laboartory report. This latter reports, in a redable form, each laboratory  activities   done during the semester.

The laboratory report have to be delivered at least one working week before the exam

Note Docente
The main research activities undertaken by Marco Mancini are related to the hydrological processes and their interactions with anthropic activities for supporting hydraulic work design. He has developed distributed hydrological models for river basin and algorithms for the use of remote sensing data in hydrology. Currently he is working on soil moisture real time monitoring whit two specific applications: the development of flood forecast systems used as non-structural flood defense system in synergy with structural traditional hydraulics works; the development of irrigation water need monitoring and forecast used as parsimonious irrigation practice. Actually he is involved in the research and operative programs as investigator for basin hydrology with EU and MOIST China He has published over 100 papers in international journals, books, and conference proceedings dealing with flood hydrograph estimation, hydrologic water balance, parsimonious irrigation, remote sensing applications in hydrology and geographical information systems. He makes specific consultancies and designs for water resources authorities municipality and companies where he transfers, in the operative form , the results of the research activity
