The course aims at providing the main concepts to manage organisations and projects.
The first and longer part (management of organisations) is based on the Business Plan framework and is focused on the following topics:
- Business plan, business models and financing of new firms;
- Decision making theory under bounded rationality and turbulent environment;
- Strategy and economic value; Strategic decisions: external and internal analysis;
- Marketing management: search and selection of target markets; Segmentation and positioning; Marketing strategies and marketing mix variables.
The second part is focused on the management of innovation and projects:
- what is innovation; barriers to innovation;
- projects and processes;
- project management objectives and scope;
- project management phases and tools.
