Learning Outcomes: 1- To achieve a better understanding of reference concepts and operative tools needed to evaluate biological-medical-organizational problems reliably, in private and public healthcare enterprises, and to assess related competitive solutions. 2- To develop an evolutive vision on biomedical science and technology committed to wellbeing and human health promotion, conservation, causation and regeneration. 3- To focus on reliable assessment tools for HRO committed to wellbeing, wellness and healthcare business.
Course Contents: Selected topics and evaluation methodologies for the optimization of the extended value chain structured assessment of Diagnosis-Therapy Clinical Process (EDTCP) lifecycle and Health Technologies in private and public Healthcare Organizations. We look into various traditional and holistic theories as tools for analyzing and understanding health promotion, conservation, causation and regeneration. We begin to identify issues and questions of importance to the field and to us personally and professionally, such as health education for the "whole person;" shifting from a disease-focused to a health-focused health paradigm; wellbeing, wellness and the salutogenic approach to health promotion; self-care; and spirituality and health.

2) EXTENDED DIAGNOSIS-THERAPY CLINICAL PROCESS CYCLE (EDTCP): EDTCP Cycle Reference Model. Decision under Incomplete Knowledge. Human Reliability in Medicine and Healthcare. EDTCP Cycle Strategic Role. System Critical Path. Value Creation and Multiplication. Systemic Creativity Tools. Computer Aided Creativity. Elementary Pragmatic Model, EPM.

Requirements: Because of the intensive nature of the course, students are expected to attend FULLY all the days and hours of the course and to participate actively in group discussions and exercises.
Final Assignment: Students have a choice from standard examination procedure (written test + final oral examination, usually the same day) or written paper and class presentation.
Course Evaluation: No midterm evaluation.Final grades will be based on: 1. Active class partecipation: 30%, 2. Written paper and class presentation: 70%
