Programma dettagliato e risultati di apprendimento attesi

The workshop is for  multi-nationality students. This feature becomes a great opportunity for comparing different cultures and different  ideas about architecture, territory. This means working out new paradigms for architectural processes based on a  new spatial sensibility.
The teaching experience focuses on design strategies which are supported by the concepts of Environment and Landscape stating a new vision of context idea. The architectural design is placed in a spatial complexity where the site as physical phenomenon is mixed with the site as cultural phenomenon.
The workshop will use many different simulation strategies (models, 3D, movies, etc.) in order to test all the sensorial aspects of the space ( ecology of sensibility : light, tactility, sound, colours,…material features). The main theme of the design experience concerns the  way through which ideas take shape. This is the moment when the culture, the background, the sensibility of the students can bring out new architectural visions.
Conceptual consistency is required at every scale  : from territory to the smallest building detail. The  form is part of a single purpose : making the idea become space. This delicate transition makes our mind  seek support. The linguistic and artistic techniques as analogy and collage help us to discover architectural composition coming from contaminations and multi-cultural experiences which recompose in a single form ancient and new spatial ideas.
Making a specific program is one of the most important issues of the architectural process. Students are stimulated to interact with objectives which are often the hidden humus of contemporary needs.
