Programma sintetico The "Mixed-Signal VLSI Design Methodology, Tooling, and Examples" course provides a strong theoretical foundation for integrated circuit designers working on mixed-signal systems, such as radio and optical communication, using CMOS technology. The course covers essential aspects of full-custom mixed-signal design on silicon, including design for manufacturability, meeting system specifications (functionality, signal integrity, power, yield, and area constraints), thermal-aware design, and noise immunity. A significant portion of the course is hands-on, focusing on designing various circuit building blocks and subsystems. Throughout the design process, circuit characteristics will be evaluated against system requirements and specifications. By the end of the course, students will gain expertise in mixed-signal system design and experience the complete design flow, addressing manufacturing and design challenges relevant to their final project.
