Foundations (4 hours): - Introduction to LLMs and their significance in natural language processing (NLP) and artificial intelligence (AI) - Overview of transformer architectures and attention mechanisms - Pre-training objectives and strategies for LLMs - Fine-tuning and adaptation techniques for specific NLP tasks 2. Practical Implementation (4 hours): - Tools and libraries for working with LLMs (e.g., Hugging Face Transformers, TensorFlow, PyTorch) - Fine-tuning LLMs for various NLP tasks such as text classification, sentiment analysis, and language generation 3. Applications (8 hours): - NLP tasks enabled by LLMs: text generation, summarization, question answering, etc. - Case studies showcasing real-world applications of LLMs in diverse fields such as healthcare, finance, education, and entertainment 4. Ethical and Societal Implications (3 hours): - Ethical considerations in LLM development and deployment - Biases, fairness issues, and ethical dilemmas associated with LLMs - Privacy concerns and implications for data security in LLM applications 5.
