The recently approved European regulation represents a novel approach. In fact, it goes beyond specific applications, but revolves around risk categories. The regulation also takes an anthropocentric view, putting 'humans' at the centre of protection.
Starting from the regulation, brought to you by those who followed the definition process, the course will lead doctoral students to reflect on the complexity of AI, the actors involved and their own responsibilities, right from the first design choices and intended/expected uses, that might change overtime, while AI is used. |
