The objective is to teach students to use the right combination of classical and AI-based tools to solve real-life decision and control problems in smart industrial applications. To achieve this objective, the course covers relevant topics from classical decision and control practices and AI techniques with applications and case studies tailored to smart manufacturing and other industrial applications. The course will particularly focus on the use of prediction and process modeling techniques for control and operational planning in smart systems. |
