Course Description |
The course focuses on the aerodynamic phenomena experienced in different flight conditions. Models and numerical methods for simulating the rotor will be presented, including inflow models, lifting lines, combined blade-element/momentum models, free wake methods, stall and unsteady models, CFD methods for rotary-wing aircrafts. Different techniques will be discussed for noise prediction for desired frequency bands (Kirchhoff, Ffowcs Williams - Hawkings). |
