Programma sintetico - Kinematics of plane systems. Rigid body plane kinematics, absolute and relative constraints, position, velocity and acceleration analysis, application of numerical methods to kinematics. - Dynamics of plane systems. Equations of motion of plain systems subject to constraints, variational approaches, Lagrange multipliers, dependent variables elimination, numerical integration of differential algebraic equations. - Solution with computer codes of applicative examples concerning the motion of systems of bodies in the plane. - Kinematics and dynamics of spatial systems. Rigid body kinematics in the space, different representations of rotations, equations of motion of systems of rigid bodies in the space. - Dynamics of elastically deformable bodies in large displacements and small deformations. - Models of contact forces, elastic bodies in rolling contact, tyre-road and wheel-rail contact models. - Models of aerodynamic and hydrodynamic forces on bodies.
