Course Title COGNITIVE BIASES AND DISCRIMINATIONS: IMPLICATIONS, RISKS AND OPPORTUNITIES
Course Type MONO-DISCIPLINARY COURSE
Credits (CFU / ECTS) 5.0
Course Description Part 1. Discriminations and new technologies (2 CFU) Module responsible: Prof. Fiammetta Costa (DESIGN) The aim of the module is two-fold. On the one hand it provides tools (regulatory, philosophical and sociological) to prevent and challenge dysfunctional situations. On the other hand it stimulates the development of research themes aimed at supporting those categories most at risk of fragility (age, disability, gender, nationality) in relation to new technologies. Part 1. Assessing cognitive biases (3 CFU) Module responsible: Prof. Mara Tanelli (DEIB) The module aims at presenting a multifaceted topic, which is that of the assessment of cognitive biases both qualitative and quantitative. Such a process involves many different disciplines, such as neuroscience, social and behavioural psychology, linguistics, affective computing, machine learning and data analytics. Overall, the course aims at presenting an integrated vision of this challenging research with a multi-disciplinary teachers' pool that will be able to provide insights on the different aspects.
